These include, but are not limited to Golf, Tennis, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Boating, Skiing and Snow-Boarding, Cross Country Skiing, White Water Rafting, High Adrenalin Sports, Aviation, Disc Golf, and Softball. The Grass Valley / Nevada City area is also blessed with a number of public parks for the kids.

Rafting and Kayaking:


Three Class III - V whitewater rivers in Nevada County are North Fork of the American River, the Yuba River, and the Truckee River. The Middle Fork and South Fork of the American River are relatively close.
 

Disc Golf:


There are 6 disc-golf course in a 35 mile radius of the Grass Valley Design Center. These include: Condon Park, Hanging Oaks, Toney's Mountain Golf, Hammon Grove Park, Auburn Regional Park, Rocklin DGC.

The Squirrel Creek Disc Golf Course in Grass Valley's Condon Park is rated as one of the best courses in California.
